to Hall of Fame Oct. 31
for Game 3 of Fall Classic
Fans Can Enjoy the Exciting Matchup Between League Champions in Cooperstown

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – As history is written at the 2009 World Series, fans can watch it happen where baseball’s heroes live forever.

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will host the 13th-annual World Series Gala at 7 p.m. Oct. 31 in Cooperstown. This family event will feature a live broadcast of Game 3 of the 105 th World Series, which will be played in the National League champions’ park and begin at 7:30 p.m.
The fun-filled evening will feature refreshments, trivia, raffles, prizes and more as fans watch the game from the Hall of Fame on big screens in either the Grandstand Theater or the Plaque Gallery. The World Series Gala is made possible by the generous support of New York Central Mutual Insurance Company. A ticket is required for this event and costs $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Members may reserve tickets now, and any remaining tickets will be available to non-members on Oct. 26 by calling the Membership department at 607-547-0397.
Members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum receive free admission to the Museum, as well as access to exclusive programs, such as the Voices of the Game Series. Additionally, members receive a subscription to the Hall of Fame's bi-monthly magazine, Memories and Dreams, the 2008 Hall of Fame yearbook and a 10% discount and free shipping on retail purchases. The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is open seven days a week year round, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Museum is open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. seven days a week. The Museum observes off-season hours of 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. from the day after Labor Day until Memorial Day Weekend. Ticket prices are $16.50 for adults (13 and over), $11 for seniors (65 and over) and for those holding current memberships in the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and AMVets organizations, and $6 for juniors (ages 7-12). Members are always admitted free of charge and there is no charge for children 6 years of age or younger.
