As the New York Yankees celebrate their record 27th World Series championship, treasures from baseball’s most memorable moments from the 2009 postseason are now on display in the Autumn Glory exhibit at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown. Following the Yankees’ World Series-clinching win on Nov. 4, the Museum acquired nearly a dozen artifacts from the both the Bronx Bombers and the Phillies. Story

BBWAA announces 2010 ballot for Hall of Fame consideration

Fifteen new candidates on ticket
A 12-time All-Star second baseman, a Most Valuable Player, a Cy Young Award winner, a Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year Award winner, a two-time home run champion, a two-time batting champion and a player who led his league in runs batted in, home runs and batting in separate seasons are among 15 new candidates on the 2010 Hall of Fame ballot mailed this week to more than 575 voting members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.
